Successful admissions to the most competitive schools require preparations from early years. Between 13-17 years old, students start to build their curriculum vitae and portfolio. This is a must to gain every advantage possible for top universities. QC’s headstart programme provides exposure to the applications process, specialised tests/interviews, and non-academic guidance for an outstanding portfolio (Olympiads, competitions, and essays.)
The main focus of this stage would be to select the appropriate colleges with the best chances of successful entry conceptualise and finalise convincing Common apps personal statements. On average, a candidate may need to write over 20 essays for 5 universities ( 1-5 essays for each university.). This can be challenging as the candidate has to complete 20 over demanding essays while preparing for their IB or AP exams.
For certain students, they may have chosen to do the initial applications and personal statements by themselves. However, they may realise that the later specialised tests for Oxbridge and Ivy League are indeed herculean without expert guidance. Examples include ACT, AP, SATs, TOEFL and alumni interviews. The main focus this stage is to have our experienced experts guide our mentees safely towards a thorough preparation for the relevant tests with insider insights and customised curriculum.
