HEADSTART MENTORING

Get an Early Start on Your Thousand-Mile Journey.

With rising global competition, university applications are increasingly competitive. Top schools in the U.S like Stanford, Harvard, or Columbia typically have an acceptance rate below 5%. Admissions advisory has become par excellence for many students to get every advantage possible. QC’s Personal Statement courses for the Commonapps and supplementary essays helps each mentee to brainstorm, plan, and edit, for a unique narrative that impresses the admission officers. This will be customised to the countries and specific colleges applied for. For instance, a student applying for a Computer Science major should write about his or her interests in coding, hackathons, and opinions on relevant contemporary affairs.

Hazel Duke Engineering (transparent testimonial)

HAZEL A

Duke University, Engineering

The head start mentoring process at QC is very comprehensive. From candidate profiling, portfolio building, mentorship with alumni and personal statement brainstorming and editing, the experiences I had have-were outstanding. The mentors were very insightful and were able to point out what my weaknesses were and how we could overcome them with activities to improve my portfolio. David, Nicolas and YR were committed to optimising my applications and even at midnight, I was still able to reach out to them on Whatsapp and they were available to help me close to my deadline.

Drafting over a dozen essays for the application is no easy feat and I am glad to have received assistance from QC. Andrew, Amy and Sean, the essay specialists, were committed and patient as we brainstormed and reviewed the various essays for Commonapps and supplementary. Prior to that, during the portfolio phase, the QC team also set a rigorous plan with monthly deadlines- which ensured that I kept pace to the targets they set for me. They also gave good advice on who I should approach as my character referees and how to secure an outstanding testimonial from them.
